Give your corporate event a memorable…
The Feast of the Redentore was founded in the 16th Century to celebrate the end of a devastating epidemic of plague that the populations of Europe had passed. Venice was not spared from the epidemic, that it caused 50,000 victims. Today is the feast of one of the most important events in Venice and its inhabitants, who are already gathering in the morning on the banks of the Canal Grande and the Giudecca to grab a seat at a table. For a short time, the island of Giudecca is connected to Venice by a bridge of rafts, it is open until 20.30. The bridge ends in front of the stairs of the church. Towards evening, the basin of San Marco is home to boats of all kinds, which are richly decorated with lanterns and garlands. The music keeps him company until the climax of the festival: a wonderful game of fireworks that last for an hour. After the fireworks, is a spontaneous train of boats passing through the Canal Grande, or as required by tradition, it is concluded at the Lido, where he awaits the dawn. The day after is the day of the religious feasts and masses in the Church of the Redentore, that it has always been the conclusion of the festival.
