Come to Venice to see one…
The 12th International Architecture Exhibition will take place at the Giardini and at the Arsenale in Venice at Biennale Exhibition Palace, a short walk from the Hotel Gabrielli Sandwirth, as well as other locations of the beautiful Lagoon city from the 29th August to the 21st November 2010: the ‘opening is scheduled for 26th, 27th and 28th August.
To direct the Architecture Biennale for the first time this year has been called a woman architect, Kazuyo Sejima who was awarded the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize (together with Ryue Nishizawa).
The exhibition entitled “People meet in architecture” will consist of works by 48 artists, engineers, architects from different parts of the world, and will make use of a single exhibition. The exhibition will also, as always, in the Pavilions at Giardini, at the Arsenale and in Venice’s historic center, 54 national participations.
The pavilion Italy will have as an argument “Ailati. Reflections from the future “, coordinated by Luca Molinari and made through the Ministry of Heritage and Culture with PaBAAC - General Direction for the landscape, fine arts, architecture and contemporary art.
This year 2010 it makes the debut at the Exhibition: Albania, Bahrain, Iran, Malaysia, Morocco and Rwanda. For the first time they will attend to the event. Many side events will take place organized by international organizations and institutions, that start their initiatives in various places in connection with the Venice Biennale.
